Staff member at M&S New Milton assaulted during theft

A MEMBER of staff at M&S in New Milton was assaulted as thieves made off with joints of meat.

Hampshire Police have released CCTV images of two people they would like to speak in connection with the incident at Station Road store on Saturday (January 27).

Police said the alleged offences happened at shortly after 6pm, with joints of meat stolen and a staff member assaulted.

“We believe the men in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge them, or anyone who knows their identity, to get in touch with us,” a spokesperson said.

One of the men is described as white, approximately 5ft 10inches tall, wearing black jogging bottoms, a grey hooded top and a black baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or who has any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could help, should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 44240039204.
