Teen, 16, arrested after robbery in New Milton street

A TEENAGER was threatened and robbed of his coat and a mobile phone in New Milton.

The incident unfolded in Albert Road at shortly before 3pm last Tuesday (January 23).

The victim was approached by another teenage boy, who is reported to have grabbed his shoulders and verbally threatened him. The victim’s coat and mobile phone were both stolen.

A 16-year-old boy from New Milton was arrested on suspicion of robbery in Christchurch last Wednesday (January 24).

He has since been released on conditional bail, pending further enquiries. Officers continue to investigate this incident and enquiries remain ongoing.
