A LARGE fire that broke out near Poole is believed to have been started deliberately.
Fire crews worked through the night to extinguish the blaze near Blackhill Road, on Holton Heath near Poole, after it broke out yesterday evening (July 3).
The fire saw a huge response from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, with 40 firefighters on scene at 11am this morning.
“The cause is believed to be deliberate, and we are working closely with the police,” a spokesperson said.
“The road is currently restricted on Blackhill Road, so please avoid the area.”
