Sturminster Marshall Platinum Jubilee Trail has been created to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and recognise her 70 years of service to the country.
It will be opened by the Wimborne Town Crier and other local dignitaries in a village ceremony on Sunday, June 5, at 11am and followed by a treasure hunt round the trail for families and children.
Everyone is welcome.
The new trail features a variety of buildings and sites of historical interest which have been identified through the village and are marked by Jubilee Trail markers that feature a unique QR code
starting at St Mary’s Church and passing in a circular route through the village to include Trafalgar Green, Walnut Tree Field, Timber Green (Stocks Green), Charborough Green,
Churchill Green and Maypole Green (Village Market Place).
