Tasty treats and trees on offer at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest this Christmas

TASTY treats and stunning trees are among the festive attractions on offer at the Moors Valley Country Park and Forest.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the park, near Ringwood, with a host of festive activities on offer.

Visitors can browse the Christmas tree shop to pick out a British-grown tree, sample tasty yuletide treats, make a forest-themed wreath, or join in with a woodland-inspired pantomime performance.

The Christmas tree shop opens on November 25, with Forestry England experts on hand to help pick out the perfect tree and give tips on how to look after it throughout the holiday period. Parking is free for those buying a tree.

At weekends, people can also shop from a collection of local stall holders selling handmade Christmas goods and treats while enjoying music performed by choirs from the area.

Other activities to get you in the festive mood include a pantomime with a special interactive performance of Robin Hood on December 18.

If you are feeling creative, also on offer is an eco-wreath making class using foraged natural foliage and winter treasures from the forest to make your very own unique creation. Pre-booking is essential.

Melanie Keddie, marketing manager for Forestry England at Moors Valley, said: “There’s so much on offer this Christmas at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest. It’s a really special place to come with the family to pick the perfect Christmas tree and enjoy spending time in our very own forest winter wonderland.

“We are open every day over the festive period, apart from Christmas day, making it the great place to meet up with friends and family to enjoy some yuletide fun in the beautiful woodlands.”
