Man in his 60s attacked by two youths on electric scooters in park

A MAN in his 60s was hit in the face by two people who passed him on electric scooters in a Poole park.

Police are appealing for information after the incident, in Baiter Park, at around 6pm on Thursday, April 11.

They said it was reported the man was walking through the park, close to the skatepark, when he was hit – leaving him with minor head and facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

One of the men is described as around 18, of large build, clean shaven and wearing a green bomber jacket.

The second is described as around 18, of slim build, 5ft 11 inches tall, with stubbly facial hair and wearing black clothing.

PC Sarah Fuller, of Poole police, said: “This incident has had a significant impact on the victim and we are doing all we can to identify the offenders.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Baiter Park and saw what happened to please come forward.

“We know that the park was quite busy at this time so if you have information about who was responsible, please contact Dorset Police.”
