Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I would ask anyone with dashcam footage to please come forward.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or the manner of driving or riding of the vehicles involved in the moments leading up to the collision.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closure was in place during a busy time of the day. This was necessary for us to be able to safely treat the injured person and carry out an examination of the scene.”
