CCTV appeal after 21 bottles of Champagne stolen from M&S in Lymington

POLICE have released CCTV images of two people they would like to identify after 21 bottles of Champagne were stolen from a shop in Lymington.

The incident took place at Marks & Spencer, in St Thomas Street, at between 12.10pm and 12.20pm on Tuesday, April 30.

The Champagne taken in the theft has been valued at £717, Hampshire Police said.

Now, officers have issued images of a man and a woman they would like to trace in connection with the incident.

The man is described as; White, around 45 years old, around 5ft 10ins tall, short black hair with a side parting, stubble. He was wearing a grey T-shirt, black jacket with white stripes, blue jeans and trainers.

The woman is described as; White, around 35 years old, around 5ft 10ins tall, with long red hair, wearing glasses with dark rims and wearing a black vest top, long beige skirt with a dark pattern.

“We believe the man and woman in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge them, or anyone who knows their identity, to get in touch with us,” a Hampshire Police spokesperson said.

“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
