PEOPLE are being urged to ‘live, learn and laugh’ at an open day in Ferndown tomorrow (May 24).

The event, hosted by the u3a, is running from 10am until noon on Friday at the Barrington Centre.

The u3a is a nationwide network of more than 1,000 study groups across the country.

“We provide study groups aimed at encouraging people who no longer work to join and continue learning and socialising,” a spokesperson said.

“Groups are run by members, for members, all of whom are volunteers.

“It’s learning for fun and social interaction.”

They said the u3a offers specific groups alongside activities, events and visits open to all.

“We have more than 90 different courses or activities this year, from astronomy to walking groups and bridge to art classes and so much more,” the spokesperson added.

Brochures detailing activities will be on offer during the open day event.
