Biker seriously injured in Poole crash

A BIKER suffered serious injuries in a crash in Poole.

The incident – involving a car and a motorcycle – happened on Wallisdown Road, at the junction with Canford Avenue, at around 5.14pm on Wednesday (November 22).

The rider of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment and the driver of the car was uninjured.

Wallisdown Road was closed during the incident to allow emergency services to treat the injured rider and investigate the circumstances of the collision, before being reopened at 7.35pm.

PC Chris Brolan, of the traffic unit, said: “This collision happened in the rush hour, and I would ask anyone who saw what happened or captured it on dashcam to please contact Dorset Police.

“I would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during the road closures. While these were entirely necessary, I understand they caused considerable congestion in the area.”
