UPDATE: Body found in search for missing Wimborne man, Edward O’Carroll, 83

EDWARD O’Carroll has gone missing in Wimborne and police are keen to trace him.

The 83-year-old was last seen at around 10.30am on Wednesday (October 2), at Julian’s Bridge.

He is described as 5ft 9 inches tall and was last seen wearing a dark green lightweight waterproof jacket, a light blue jumper, either dark grey or blue trousers and brown shoes.

Inspector Steve Hughes, of Dorset Police, said: “Edward has not returned to his home address and has not been in contact with his family, which is out of character for him.

“Officers are carrying out searches in the area in a bid to locate Edward. “I am appealing to anyone who has seen Edward or a man matching the description given to please come forward.”
