Woman reportedly exposed herself near children in Lymington

POLICE have made an arrest following reports that a woman, wearing only a pink t-shirt, exposed herself in Lymington on Monday (August 25).

The force said the indecent exposure reportedly took place between 4.30pm and 4.40pm on Priestlands Road.

The woman also reportedly verbally abused someone who called her out on her behaviour.

A 57-year-old woman from Lymington was arrested on suspicion of exposure and common assault, and she is currently in police custody.

The woman, Jeanette Anne Brindley, of Whitaker Crescent in Pennington, has now been charged with exposure and a public order offence.

She is appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning (August 27).

Officers are now appealing for witnesses – and they say two boys between the ages of 10 and 12 may have been in the area at the time.

“The boys are both described as being white, with dark hair, and wearing dark shorts and t-shirts,” a Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said.
