Vehicles seized in Verwood over suspected use in fly-tipping

TWO vehicles that were seized by police in Verwood could be disposed of if they are not claimed.

A beige Qashqai and a white Ford Transit Tipper – both with personal belongings – were seized by Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team at Manor Gardens in Verwood last Thursday (July 3).

The force said that the vehicles are suspected to have been involved in environmental crimes in Dorset and are now subject to a live investigation.

They were seized under the Environmental Protection Act of 1990, which prohibits the illegal depositing of waste.

If the vehicles are not claimed before July 24, they could be disposed of.
