TWO 16-year-old boys have both been arrested on suspicion of knife offences in Bournemouth.
This comes after officers from Dorset Police attended King John Avenue at around 9pm on Monday (June 9) after they received reports that a teenager was in possession of a machete.
Police said a knife was recovered after locating a boy matching the description as well as a second boy that was reportedly involved.
A 16-year-old boy from Poole was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, and a 16-year-old boy from Christchurch was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Both remain in custody, and no injuries were reported following the incident.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
Police Staff Investigator Alice Harmsworth, of Bournemouth Police, said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation into this reported incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone who has any information that might assist our enquiries, to please get in touch.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time and captured relevant dashcam footage.
“We understand this reported incident may cause concern among the community and we want to re-assure residents we take knife crime very seriously and it is a force priority to tackle knife related offences.
“Our officers can be approached at any time with concerns.”
