Don’t miss this year’s Museum of East Dorset Summer Fete

THE Wimborne community is set to come together for a fun day of fundraising at this year’s Museum of East Dorset’s Summer Fete.

The stunning surroundings of the museum’s garden in Wimborne’s High Street are set to host a selection of plant stalls, tombolas, raffles, garden games and a treasure trove of second-hand books.

Money raised from the event, taking place from 10am to 5pm on July 5, will support the award-winning museum in maintaining the exhibitions, educational programmes and conservation efforts.

Kids can look forward to a glitter tattoo station, kids craft – and the popular hook-a-duck game.

The adults can look forward to a Pimm’s tent and live music as well as plenty of tea and cake, which will be served all day in the museum garden café.

Aidan Hill, events officer for Museum of East Dorset said: “Whether you’re a lover of history, a keen gardener, or just looking for a wonderful day out with family and friends, our annual Summer Fete in the Museum of East Dorset’s beautiful garden is always an unmissable occasion.”

The fete is free entry via the museum gardens gate, which is located near Wimborne Library.

Normal prices apply for anyone wishing to visit the museum on the day of the fete.
