Wonderful walk well worth wait

After several frustrating covid-related delays, a group of 24 Wimborne walkers finally got the chance to explore some of the shadier aspects of local history on a fascinating tour led by Hattie Miles from Walkingtalks.
Originally planned for spring 2020, the walk was unanimously deemed well worth the wait by the group which was made up of members of the East Dorset Heritage Trust.
Hattie’s Darker Side Of The East Cliff walk took the group from Bournemouth’s Hotel Miramar to visit various locations where they were regaled with tales about a historic murder, a First World War shipwreck, the death of a Canadian pilot, a ghost story and other shadowy stories.
“I am delighted that we have, at last, managed to do this walk,” said Hattie.
“It was a lovely group of people who enjoyed the experience and have already asked to do another walk at a later date.”
