Woman assaulted two officers during arrest for drink driving

A WOMAN who was nearly three times over the drink driving limit assaulted a police officer and a PSCO in Lymington.

Officers investigating a report of drink driving found a vehicle parked up on North Street in Pennington just after 8.15pm on September 18.

A Pennington woman, 57, was found in the drivers seat and confirmed she had been driving the car. A roadside breath test revealed she had 101mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath – nearly three times the limit.

As she was being arrested, the force said she assaulted one of the officers and a PCSO, but luckily neither officers were harmed.
