A NEW president has been revealed for the Wimborne Rotary Club.

Sue Young, the former Rotary president handed over the reins to the well-known, and now retired, Wimborne businessman, Brian Dryden.

Brian, together with his wife Pat, ran a popular electrical and white goods shop for many years in Wimborne Square.

The annual handover meeting took place at a picnic at Pamphill Green due to refurbishment of the regular meeting place.

Brian thanked Sue for her service during the Rotary year.

He said: “I hope that the coming year will see Wimborne Rotary continue to be a part of the Wimborne community which not only supports us but, in turn, enables us to support local charities in the area.”
