A CHEESE and wine evening was held at a Wimborne care home to say thanks to neighbours for their patience during renovation work at the property.
Staff and residents wanted to show their appreciation to the community for their support during the extensive work at Hyacinth House, in Wimborne Road West.
Visitors were also given a sneak peak at the finished home ahead of an official opening, on August 24.
The hospitality team at Hyacinth House served Charcuterie Board favourites piled high with a selection of cheeses, cured meats, crackers, chutneys and more, with a selection of wines to sample which were enjoyed by everyone who came to the event.
The team at the home also invited singer Nigel Revill along, who performed a range of classic hits.
“I had some lovely comments from the guests about the music and the beautiful care home,” Nigel said.
“It’s hard to recognise the old home compared to what you now have – absolutely glorious.”
