Wimborne Art Club announces Christmas Exhibition details

WIMBORNE Art Club’s Christmas Exhibition is taking place next month.

Works by WAC members will go on show at Pamphill Village Hall on November 16 and 17.

Displays are set to include crafts and cards as well as paintings, which will all be for sale.

“If you are looking for a special Christmas present there is a varied selection of subject matter and styles, something to suit everyone’s taste and pocket,” a spokesperson said.

One of the artists featured is WAC chair, Rosemary McDonald, who has been a member of the club for more than 20 years.

Rosemary enjoys painting mainly in watercolour and paints local scenes and gardens, but also really enjoys filling numerous sketchbooks on her travels.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4.30pm on both days. Entry and parking are free, with coffee, cake and tea available.

Wimborne Art Club was formed in 1975 and meets fortnightly, on a Thursday, at St Catherine’s Church Hall.

Activities include demonstrations, talks and workshops as well as holding at least two exhibitions a year.
