Trio charged over shoplifting incidents at New Milton supermarkets

THREE people have been charged with shoplifting after more than £400 of groceries were stolen from New Milton supermarkets.

The trio – two women and a man, all from Southampton – have been charged with two shopliftings on Friday, November 24.

Mariana Bizdadea, 38, Vasile-Richard Curt, 25, and Gheorghita Curt, 23, all of Weston Lane, Southampton, were arrested in Starling Avenue, New Milton, at shortly after 6.30pm on Friday.

All three have since been released on conditional bail, to next appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, December 14.

The arrests came after two reports of shoplifting, at Tesco, Caird Avenue and Aldi, Starling Avenue, between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Friday.

More than £400 worth of groceries were reportedly stolen during the incident at Aldi, police said.
