Teenage boy suffers ‘serious’ injury in Poole knife attack

A TEENAGE boy suffered a ‘serious’ injury in a knife attack in Poole.

The incident unfolded at Poole Bus Station at around 5pm on Tuesday (June 27) afternoon, Dorset Police said.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A 20-year-old man from Poole has been arrested in relation to the incident, a spokesperson said.

Detective Inspector Ben Griffin, of Bournemouth CID, added: “We are conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances of this incident and at this time there is no information to suggest that further people were involved in this incident.

“I would urge anyone who saw what happened or who has any information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.

“No weapon has been recovered at this time and I would urge anyone who comes across a knife or bladed article in the area not to touch it and to report it to police immediately.

“Finally, I would like to hear from anybody who was driving in the area around the relevant time and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”

There will be an increased police presence in the area, they said, and officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.
