Serious facial injuries for man assaulted in Wimborne Minster

A MAN in his 50s was reportedly assaulted in Wimborne last Sunday night (March 16).

The victim sustained serious facial injuries and attended hospital for treatment after he was assaulted sometime between 10pm and 12am in Leigh Road, police said.

The male suspect is described as six feet three inches tall and was wearing blue jeans, a black jumper, white trainers and a black snood.

Detective constable Matt Barrett, of Dorset County CID, said: “We have been continuing to investigate this incident and carried out extensive enquiries so far, including CCTV checks and house-to-house visits.

“After further liaison with the victim, I am now appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and seen what happened to please come forward.

“Similarly, if you have captured anything of relevance on CCTV or dashcam footage, please get in touch.”
