Perfect plastic poppy project

More than 200 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from Broadstone Scout Group, with their Leaders, have been busy recycling plastic bottles into poppies for a massive display outside Broadstone Methodist Church in the village centre.
Inspired by other displays, the group made it as a tribute to the Royal British Legion for the work they do supporting veterans and currently serving personnel who have given so much for their country.

The display is on show until tomorrow, Saturday, November 19 and the Scout Group hope it will encourage donations to The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
Beavers, Cubs and Scouts also collected for the Poppy Appeal outside Broadstone Methodist Church last Saturday.
