A PEDESTRIAN was hit by a car which allegedly failed to stop.
Dorset Police are investigating after the incident, at the zebra crossing near Aldi in Pitwines Close, at around 3.15pm on Monday (May 22).
They said a pedestrian, a man in his 40s, reported being hit by a silver Toyota Yaris, which left the scene. He suffered leg injuries and required hospital treatment, they added.
PC Joseph McKee, of Poole police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to locate the vehicle involved and would ask anyone with information to help my investigation to please come forward.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed what happened.
“Also, if you were driving in the vicinity and have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle, I would ask you to please check for any relevant footage.”
