DAVID Graham Cullen has been jailed for shoplifting in New Milton – and for breaching an order banning him from certain shops.
The 35-year-old, of Dinham Road, was sentenced to eight weeks behind bars, and ordered to pay £70 in compensation, when he appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (May 14).
It follows thefts from Marks & Spencer, in Station Road, on May 2, and Nisa Local, in Ashley Road, on May 5.
The breaches of Cullen’s Crimimal Behaviour Order occurred between May 2 and 5, at the same stores, as well as at Tesco, in Old Milton Road.
As part of the interim CBO, which he received at the same court on April 2, Cullen must not enter the following stores:
• Any Morrisons or Morrisons Daily in Hampshire
• Any One Stop in Hampshire
• Any Aldi in Hampshire
• Any Superdrug in Hampshire
• Any Co-op in Hampshire
• Any Welcome Store in Hampshire
“He must also immediately leave any store, or business premises, when asked to do so by a member of staff,” the order adds.
“He must place items that he wishes to purchase in a store/business premises in a basket or trolley provided by the store until they have been purchased. The basket or trolley must then be left behind.
“He must not enter any retail or business premises from which he has been banned.”
