POLICE are appealing for witnesses after £1,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen from a One Stop shop in New Milton.

Two men reportedly smashed a glass panel on the front door of the store on Christchurch Road at 3.20am on August 28 before leaving with the cigarettes.

The pair then reportedly left in the direction of Church Lane.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything of the incident, as well as anyone who has any footage which might assist us in our investigation, including doorbell camera, dash cam or mobile phone,” a Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said.

“If you can help us, please call 101 and quote incident number 44250388962.”
