The new mayor for Wimborne Minster Town for 2022/23 is Cllr
Carol Butter who succeeds Kelly Webb. Cllr Butter commenced her role on May 10.
Carol’s background is in banking and finance and she had a career including finance and audit and was responsible for the implementation of a number of projects.
During the year, Carol will raise money for three charities – Walford Mill Education Trust, Dial A Ride and UK Wild Otter Trust.
Walford Mill Education Trust is a registered charity which promotes arts and crafts through events, classes and exhibitions.
Dial A Ride is a voluntary, not for profit, transport service operating in East Dorset, Merley and Broadstone.
UK Wild Otter Trust is a charity protecting and promoting a positive understanding of the European otter and its conservation.
The Deputy Mayor will be Cllr Diann March.
The cvouncil’s committee has also been agreed with Cllrs Carol Chedgy as chairman of resources committee, Shane Bartlett as chairman of recreation & leisure committee and Simon Wheeler as chairman of the planning & environment committee.
