Man who stole bike from teen in Christchurch ‘threatened him with knife’

A MAN who stole a bike from a teen in Christchurch reportedly brandished a knife when confronted.

Dorset Police said a silvery grey Boardman MTR 8.6 full-suspension mountain bike was stolen outside the Home Bargains store on Bailey Drive at around 4.40pm on June 9.

The victim, a teenager, followed and confronted the suspect, but the thief brandished a small knife.

PC India Russell, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my enquiries I have obtained a CCTV image of the suspect.

“I am appealing to anyone with information about his identity to please contact us.”
