A MAN verbally abused and pushed another man inside a shop in New Milton.

Police say the incident took place between 9.20am and 9.30am on October 17 at Nisa Local on Ashley Road.

The man reportedly verbally assaulted other people in the shop as well.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the assault.

The man is described as white, aged between 30 and 50 years, approximately 5ft 5ins tall with a large build and scruffy beard.

He is bald, wearing black shorts, a black top with a logo across the middle, a black coat and white trainers.

“We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us,” a police spokesperson said.

“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
