A MAN who stole around £15,300 worth of items from three shops in Bournemouth and Christchurch has been sentenced to 14 months in prison.
44-year-old David James Gwilliam from Bournemouth racked up 19 shoplifting offences between February 22 and June 24 after he targeted the Boots stores in Christchurch and Boscombe, and the Co-op in Charminster Road.
Gwilliam was arrested and charged after he was caught on CCTV.

He was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court yesterday (October 21) after pleading guilty to all the charges.
Police sergeant Ryan Corbett, of Dorset Police, said: “David Gwilliam was a prolific shoplifter and we have worked hard to investigate this series of offences, compile evidence and ultimately bring him to justice for his repeated crimes.
“We are committed to targeting offenders such as Gwilliam and bringing them before the court as we fully recognise the impact this type of activity has on businesses.”
