Man arrested after shop fronts, four vehicles and telephone box damaged in Poole

A 32-YEAR-old man has been arrested after a wave of criminal damage in Poole on New Year’s Day.

Two shop doors, four vehicles and a telephone box were reportedly damaged at the junction of Darbys Lane and Wimborne Road at 2.45am on January 1.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, and he has been released on bail as the investigation continues.

Officers now want to hear from any potential witnesses or anyone with relevant footage.

Detective Constable Ryan Higgins, of BCP CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already contacted police.

“I would also urge any businesses or residents in the vicinity who have CCTV systems to please review their footage from around the relevant time period to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
