A MAN was airlifted to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after a crash on Monday afternoon (August 28).
The incident happened on Matchems Lane, close to Hurn Post Office, at the junction of Avon Causeway, at around 4.47pm, Dorset Police said.
It involved a single vehicle – a silver 3 Series BMW Coupe.
The driver, a man in his 40s and from West Moors, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.
“I would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
“Also, I would urge anyone who might have captured relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.
“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closure, which was necessary to enable us to conduct our investigation.”
