Horse killed in two-car crash – with man hospitalised

A HORSE was killed in a two-car crash in the New Forest earlier this week.

The crash between a red Peugeot 2008, a grey Ford Kuga and a horse took place in Picket Plain Common in Burley, on the road between Picket Post car park and Vereley car park just before 6.15pm on November 10.

The driver of the Ford, a man in his 60s from East Boldre, suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.

New Forest Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward to help their investigation.
