Holy cow! Farm life, with all its joys, woes and foibles, is turned into a chucklesome tale of angst and agriculture set to music, as Living Spit return to Dorset with their show, One Man & His Cow.
The Man – Farmer Trevor – played by Ian Harris, has a big problem. Given just months to live, he’s faced with the dilemma of to which one of his three children he should bequeath his beloved farmstead.
They all have their own beguiling qualities and Trevor is finding it impossible to choose between them, until one fateful night in the cowshed where help arrives from the unlikeliest of sources.
Scattered with agricultural antics and farmyard frolics – told entirely in rhyme and song – it’s definitely a field worth ploughing.
For two nights only at 7.30pm. Friday, May 12, Cecil Memorial Hall, Cranborne, and Saturday, May 27, Studland Village Hall, Swanage.
