Further arrest in Wimborne attempted murder probe after stabbing

A FURTHER arrest has been made as part of a probe into a stabbing in Wimborne.

On Sunday (February 26), a man in his 50s was found with stab wounds by police at an address in the Leigh Gardens area at around 9.50pm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

Dorset Police said following a search of the area and enquiries, a 15-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man, both from the Wimborne area, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

They have now been released on police bail.

Following further enquiries, an 18-year-old Poole man has also been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing and detectives from Dorset County CID are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact them.
