WIMBORNE will be lit up in dazzling lights to officially mark the start of the Christmas season.
The Christmas lights switch on will take place in the Town Square from 1pm to 5pm and attendees can look forward to an afternoon full of fun for all the family.
This includes performances from the Quarterjacks Marching Band, local and school choirs, and dance groups.
And the Christmas lights switch on itself will take place at 5pm.

Mayor of Wimborne Minster, councillor Jeff Hart, said: “We’re excited to welcome everyone to join us for this wonderful community event.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together, enjoy the music, dance, and festive spirit, and of course, witness the magical moment when the Christmas lights are switched on.
“We look forward to seeing families and friends celebrating in the heart of Wimborne Minster. Bring your family and friends, soak up the atmosphere, and join in a fun-filled afternoon of music, dance, and community spirit.”
