Firefighters tackle blaze at Wimborne house

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a house in Wimborne this morning (December 8).

Two crews, from Wimborne and Poole, were sent to the incident, in Minster View, at around 8.48am after a neighbour reported seeing smoke in the property.

A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said they “Quickly” dealt with the fire, which was on the ground floor.

“They used two hose reel jets and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire, and a ventilation fan was employed to clear the smoke,” they added.

It is understood no one was hurt in the incident.
