POLICE are trying to reunite a fire station with some of its equipment that was stolen in Three Legged Cross on Monday (August 25).
Firefighters from Verwood were out dealing with a heath fire off Furzelands Road just after 12pm that affected a 50x20m area of gorse, grass and woodland, with the stop call not coming until 3.51pm.
The crew left two pieces of equipment at the entrance to Joy’s Road while they dealt with the blaze, but the items were missing when they came back to collect them.
