FUNDRAISING campaigns for the church roof are common – but one Dorset parish has applied for permission to install solar panels.
St Mary’s Church, in Ferndown, has applied for permission to site 49KW of panels to the church roof – as well as on the roof of the adjoining church hall.
Dorset Council planners will now consider the scheme for the property, in Church Road.
