A DRIVER who was caught reaching speeds of 104mph was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
Police said they stopped a 23-year-old driver on the Upton Bypass on Tuesday (September 30) after it was detecting reaching speeds in excess of 100mph.
Tests confirmed the driver, who had only received her licence two years ago, was under the influence of cocaine and cannabis and she was subsequently arrested.

A Dorset Roads Policing team spokesperson said: “Drugs behind the wheel don’t just break the law, they slow reaction times, impair judgment, reduce coordination, and cloud decision making.
“At high speeds, that combination can be deadly. This creates danger for not only for the driver but for everyone who shares the road.
“Losing your licence can mean losing your job, independence, and future opportunities. One reckless decision on the road can change your life forever.
“If you see someone driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time, call 999 immediately.”
