Cyclist bit by dog in Poole sparks police appeal

POLICE are trying to locate and speak to two woman after a cyclist was reportedly bitten by a dog in Poole.

A cyclist was riding her bike in the area of Longfleet Drive at around 12.40pm on September 18 when she was bitten in the leg by a dog.

The force said the small dog was being walked by two women, with the dog being described as similar to a Jack Russell with brown/ginger fur and white paws and was wearing a black harness and a brown collar.

Poole Police said: “We would urge anyone who recognises either of the two women in the image or the dog from the description to please get in touch.

“If you were walking the dog that day, please do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
