A CAR was forced off the road to avoid an overtaking driver – who then failed to stop.
The incident happened on Horton Road, near the Horton Inn, at around 7.25pm on Thursday, February 23.
Police said a man in his 40s was driving a black BMW along the route when he was confronted by a black sports car coming towards him on the wrong side of the road.

It was reported that the other two vehicles – the white car with ‘L’ plates and the black sports car – did not stop at the scene.
PC Rob Chandler, of East Dorset police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this collision, and I would urge the drivers of the other two vehicles involved to please come forward so we can take your accounts.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the collision and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
