A spokesperson said: “Preparations began months in advance, with a back-to-basics camp at the newly reopened Foxlease Park in Lyndhurst in May, followed by community events such as litter picks and a car wash and also adventure days at a water sports event.”
Plans for going forward include community projects, international trips and updated badge work that reflects the changing world.
The Guides produced a commemorative badge for the occasion which was also used as the decoration for the celebratory cake.
The 100th anniversary was a chance to honour Guiding traditions and the evening concluded with all members singing the traditional closing song, Taps.
