Chain reveals more details of Wimborne café bar plan

More details are emerging on plans for new cafe bar in the centre of Wimborne.

Bristol-based chain Loungers UK has applied for permission to open Piazzo Lounge at 4-5 The Square, the building formerly occupied by TSB (https://newstouravodev.wpengine.com/a-new-cafe-bar-could-be-set-to-open-in-the-centre-of-wimborne/).

Now, the firm has unveiled more details about the plan, which it says would see the premises turned into a ‘retro-inspired retreat’.

A spokesperson said the venue would see the Grade II-listed building boast eclectic artwork, oversized vintage sofas, strikingly painted tables and statement lighting.

Aside from the decor, Loungers said the cafe bar would offer food and drink all day, every day, ranging from tapas and salads to burgers and mac and cheese, with vegans and those favouring a gluten-free diet also well catered for.

They said particular attention would be paid to families, with a selection of games and books, colouring pencils and pads on offer, alongside a full menu for Little Loungers, with highchairs and baby-changing facilities also available.

The spokesperson said: “We are delighted by the prospect of bringing Loungers to Wimborne.

“Our Lounges strive to put community at the heart of hospitality, and our teams go the extra mile to make a difference. They are actively encouraged to connect with their communities by working with local groups, charities, organisations and businesses that are at the heart of the fabric of local life.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming the Wimborne community to our new Lounge.”

The development is subject to licensing and planning persmissions being granted.
