CCTV appeal after staff threatened at shop and egg thrown in New Milton

POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a member of staff was threatened when challenged about suspected shoplifting.

During the incident, which took place at Marks & Spencer on Station Road at 11.46am on August 28, a man also reportedly threw an egg on the floor.

“We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us,” a Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said.

“Also, if you witnessed anything of the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone or dash cam footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
