CCTV appeal after high value bike stolen in Wimborne

A HIGH value bike was stolen in broad daylight in Wimborne – and police are trying to identify a suspect.

A Hai Bike was stolen in East Street at around 1.40pm on Wednesday (August 27).

Dorset Police has now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

Sergeant Steven Payne, of East Dorset Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and have obtained a CCTV image of the suspect.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please come forward.

“We are also issuing an image of the stolen bike and would ask anyone who has seen it for sale locally in suspicious circumstances to please get in touch.”
