A BIKER suffered serious injuries after a crash near Wimborne.
The incident, on the A31 near the Canford Bottom roundabout, happened at around 10.40am this morning (April 3).
It involved a black Audi A6 and a Kawasaki motorcycle, Dorset Police said, with the rider of the motorcycle – a local man in his 50s – taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
They are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, police said.
PC Calum Maton, of the Roads Policing Team, added: “I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would also like to hear from any motorists who were travelling nearby and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
“Finally, I understand the road closure would have had an impact in the area and I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding. This enabled us to safely deal with the incident and investigate the scene.”
