A MAN is alleged to have thrown a mobile phone at a woman during a row in a Dorset street.
Police are appealing for information after an incident in Sea View Road, Upton, at just after 2.30pm on Tuesday, November 5.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said officers were called to reports of an “altercation involving a man and a woman who were believed to be known to each other near to a Volkswagen Transporter van”.
“It was reported that the man threw an item – believed to be a mobile phone – at the woman, causing an injury to her finger before he drove off from the scene in the van,” they said.
A 31-year-old man from Wareham was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.

PC Michael Wells, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this report of assault, and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident.
“I would also urge motorists who may have been in the area to please check any dashcam footage from around the relevant time period to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.
“I would like to make the same plea to residents or businesses in the vicinity with CCTV systems to review their footage for anything of relevance.”
