UPDATE: Residents left ‘distressed’ after thefts from Christchurch garden

UPDATE: A man has been identified following a CCTV regarding thefts from a Christchurch garden.

Dorset Police said a man has been identified after the incidents, between Friday, August 11, and Tuesday, August 29, in Mudeford Quay.

“We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal,” a spokesperson said.

We have removed the CCTV image as a result.


ITEMS have been stolen in a number of thefts from a front garden in Christchurch.

Dorset Police have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the thefts, which have left residents ‘distressed’.

Officers said between Friday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 29, a man repeatedly stole items from the front garden of a property in Mudeford Quay.

Police Community Support Investigator Jared Sharman, of Bournemouth Police, said: “These incidents have caused a great deal of distress to local residents, some of whom are vulnerable.

“After making enquiries, I have now obtained CCTV images of a man I would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.”
